Sunita Kaistha WWHI, President, Academic.

Sunita Kaistha is a Reader at the Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi. She was the Secretary General for the IV International Congress on WWH. She is a member of its International Scientific Committee. She has been associated with the development field for more than a decade and is the President of the Women Work & Health Initiative. Besides working on the informal sector, HIV awareness and training, she has initiated centers of literacy for children and adult women as well as vocational training for women

She has been associated with the development field for the last 12 years. She was the Secretary General for the IV International Congress on Women Work & Health 2005. (need some more add on)

A Brief Profile of Ms. Amita Sahaya:

Amita Sahaya is a writer and an activist. She has been working in the field of development and gender for nearly a decade. She is the Secretary of Women Work & Health Initiative (WWHI) and has worked extensively on the raising awareness about HIV/AIDS, Gender Sensitization, women's literacy and environment issues. She has started BINDU (Building Initiative for Development of the Underprivileged), a center for women's capacity building, and is the editor of a gender magazine and writes extensively on gender issues. She was the Head of the Symposia Committee of the IV International Congress on Women Work and Health and is a member of its International Scientific Committee.

She is the Secretary of Women Work & Health Initiative (WWHI), a leading civil society organization in Delhi, working on HIV/AIDS, Gender Sensitization Capacity Building of Underprivileged Women, Environmental and Ecological concerns. WWHI is working in Delhi, Bihar, the Industrial belt of Mumbai, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh with various Trade Unions, Local Panchayats, NGOs and other Government Representatives. Recently, WWHI has started 'BINDU (Building Initiatives & Networking for Development of the Underprivileged)- a Center for Adult Education and Vocational Training, for capacity building of underprivileged women living in the slums of Delhi.
Ms. Sahaya is working extensively on the field of gender from last ten years. A prolific writer, she has written two books on gender issues, namely a translation of 'Rani of Jhansi', a historical novel by Dr. Vrindavan Lal Verma and 'Shadows of Taj'.
Apart from these two books, she has authored various translations, articles and papers on gender as well as on other socially relevant issues. She is the Editor of 'Women Sahayog' a leading women magazine and on the editorial board of 'Women's Link'- a Journal published by Indian Social Institute (ISI), New Delhi.
She is also the Founder Director of Findia Foundation: an organization promoting Indo-Finnish Designs and Art. An art curator in her own repute, she own a virtual art gallery 'Dancing Brushes' to promote promising women artistes besides artistes of National repute.
