Literacy Centres for Women and Children
BINDU, an adult literacy centre was established in New Delhi in August, 2007 and in Jhansi in August 2009. The objective of this centre is to empower women through capacity building. The project intends to give better conditions for women, equal rights and opportunities and increased participation in decision making in society and family. The other objects of the project are:

• To contribute to the well being of underprivileged women and their families in the area
• Building leadership skills
• To reclaim women’s historical narratives and spaces
• To support the spread of the socio-economic and cultural benefits of development  to the local community, particularly the women of the marginalized communities
